Jason, My wood burning fireplace has an 8 inch chimney pipe. Am I correct that the 9x9 inch Chimney Balloon would be the correct size? - DS

Yes, chimney balloons do help, since the heat in your home seeks the higest point and escapes. Also, your electrical outlets and switch plates tend to be very drafty. You can save a lot with a cheap, easy DIY improvement by installing outlet sealers/gaskets. I found a suppliers that sells in bulk really cheap, and you will save a bunch compared to home improvement stores. I looked all over for the Decora contemporary rocker switch sealers, and this place had them.
